NOW: My Current Projects, Thoughts, and More

What is a “now” page? Well, take an “About” page, which we’re all familiar with, and make it less timeless. In fact, make it extremely timely and not timeless at all by keeping it updated with the most current info and relevant information about you. Now you have a “Now” page!

My Currents:

Of course I’m still married to Margo as long as she’s alive, and we’re living in Lawrence, Kansas for the foreseeable future.

I’m currently doing web development and design, marketing and social media, branding, copywriting, and systems and strategy services through my own business SOZO.DO.

I am also still leading the project,, which is growing significantly. I’ll soon be developing that into a full-fledged non-profit so we can hopefully raise funds and hire staff.

I’m also working with Rock Hill Church — the church we helped plant in 2013. In addition to the weekly functions of running any normal church community, we are also now working on forming an intentional training culture geared for young adults. We’re really excited about this.

Though I had originally been focused on producing content this year, plans certainly changed and I instead took on two more-than-full-time roles with two different projects that both began in February of 2017. I began work with a local company that does national business and began completely migrating and overhauling their entire website. I expanded their e-commerce store and website functionality enormously. It was a massive project I worked on for 8 hours day for nearly 7 months.

At the exact same time though, we started a complete remodel on a major dump of a fixer-upper house we were able to purchase here in Lawrence. We stripped the place down to the wall studs in most every room. There’s almost nothing we haven’t touched / re-done. We have worked every spare moment on it and forsaken most all other things this year because of it, and are finally just a couple weeks away from being completely through with that.

See more of the house and all that fun on our (mostly Margo’s)

Our house as it we bought it in March. At least it had a new garage door!

We’re currently strategizing our life and future for kids and a home along with all the above fun we’re having.

The Majesty’s Men

TMM Logo and Category Icons image - Streams of content categorized by our roles as men.

I serve as the Director and Editor-In-Chief of The Majesty’s Men, a multi-faceted ministry and brand I founded in 2013 focused on facilitating friendship and mentoring between Christian. TMM is made up of an online community and blog, a network of exemplary men and their sites, a brand and shop, resources, and, most importantly, a growing network of localized face-to-face communities.

I build the site, manage our accounts and volunteers, lead the editing, and lead in strategy and marketing for TMM. It has been a wonderful and super challenging learning experience over the years and I have many more plans for the future!

The best way to get to know TMM is to hop over to the site and check it out.

Let me know if you have any questions about it! I’d be glad to chat.

I write and work in other locations around the internet. You can catch all my other articles on my Published Elsewhere page, but for my other sites and properties I run, you can just hit these images below to hop over to them in a new window:

A super simple blog I use for writing thoughts on personal development and the tension I live in of working in both “ministry and marketplace” work.
