How Great Leaders Inspire Action – [Video]

Whether you are beginning a new season of work in your life or organization, as I am recently, or you’re needing to take a look at where you’ve been for a while, this applies to you! Especially for anyone in the position of leadership, authority, management, ministry (which in many ways is nearly everyone), this applies to you!

As people of influence, it’s always important to step out of the “whats” and “hows” of what we’re doing and refresh ourselves on the “why.” Thoughts and info on the book is below…

I believe that this is such a simple approach it’s amazing how few people actually apply this in their lives. We first had this idea mentioned to us last year by a speaker we had brought in for our large group gathering in our organization. He was reading this book and thought with the growth of our collegiate ministry happening at the rate it was, we should begin to really think about these things or else we’d wear out fast.

I started to look into it more throughout the last year, and though it really does seem to be something that naturally happens for most successful organizations or individuals, it’s also something we can naturally drift away from – asking ourselves “why” before we ask “how” and “what.” So I use this ideology a lot when helping/counseling others.

Then of course, the implications are obvious for a believer, especially in concerns to evangelism, but really in every discipline of our daily lives. It’s not about the “what” or the “how.” It’s about the “why,” and our why is because of a “who.”

In ministry – and I’d claim every aspect of life – if you aren’t connected to the “who,” whom claims “apart from me you can do nothing,” (John 15:5) then you have no “why” and it’ll quickly become apparent in your life.

It’s not a “christian” resource, but it’s a simply great resource for business, leadership, and even your individual life. Check it out. Here is the book!

Think well!

Does this make sense to you? What is your immediate take away thought when you listened to this video? I’d love to hear how it applies in your life!

I serve as the Director and Editor-In-Chief of The Majesty’s Men, a multi-faceted ministry and brand I founded in 2013 focused on facilitating friendship and mentoring between Christian. TMM is made up of an online community and blog, a network of exemplary men and their sites, a brand and shop, resources, and, most importantly, a growing network of localized face-to-face communities.

I build the site, manage our accounts and volunteers, lead the editing, and lead in strategy and marketing for TMM. It has been a wonderful and super challenging learning experience over the years and I have many more plans for the future!

The best way to get to know TMM is to hop over to the site and check it out.

Let me know if you have any questions about it! I’d be glad to chat.

I write and work in other locations around the internet. You can catch all my other articles on my Published Elsewhere page, but for my other sites and properties I run, you can just hit these images below to hop over to them in a new window:
