Where I Plan To Create Content In 2017 And Why

This is one of those posts that can only happen on a site that is literally my name with a .com on the end. In other words, though I try to usually produce content that would help others, this one will only benefit someone else if they are interested in my plans and a bit of insight into why I plan to do these things. Mostly though, this post is for me. Additionally, I know it’s popular to write lengthy and elaborate …

“Taking The Lid Off” And Recounting My Season Of Rejection

It is okay to blog about yourself, unless you want people to read it. And yet, a blog in which one doesn’t talk about himself will not be much for reading either. Facts are fine and all, but stories are what we care about. With my last post, which was basically one giant allusion to this post, I had hoped to feel a sense of “freedom” from writing it, and I even thought I did for about a day after …

My Current Work, Plans and Purpose For This Site – Jan 2015

I just spent a year offline. I also just wrote a post explaining why I did and what I learned, if anything. By “offline” I mean off of my blogs and projects and largely out of the social spheres. I still did email for work and built sites for others. A few months ago I began working on the backend of a different project that had a lot of people asking about it, and then in my inability to resist, …

My Year Off From Blogging, What I Learned and Why I’m Back (Or: That Was Stupid, Never Again, Writing Is Living)

“Always Learning” has never been more true than this last year. At the end of 2013 I shut off my personal blog. I also shut down numerous other blogs and projects – some of which weren’t getting much attention and some that were beginning to really take off! I even shut down my wife and I’s personal “lifestyle” blog, and we had nowhere to post photos of our cats and house projects… for a year! Horrible right?! So why did I do this? …

What’s Going On, March to August 2013 – [UPDATE]

When I first started this year, I had many grand ideas as to what I would be doing this year. As always, I knew some of these would be fulfilled easy-peasy (whatever that means), some would see completion in entirely different ways cause God’s funny like that, and of course some things would show themselves to be silly in comparison to God’s plan. (Prov 16:9)

In other words: I’m smart enough to know that I’m not smart enough to know much. As is true to experience, God has puzzled me a hundred times over, blessed me infinite times over, and very few things have ended up like I planned.

I saw this sign while moving and said to myself, “My thoughts exactly!”

One thing I resolved was to utilize this blog platform as a way to stay in touch better with those who’ve been such a blessing in my life and ministry, and have cared, provided, and guided me in many ways. I thought I’d do this by posting an “update” each month, but quickly found I was just talking highlights and not really getting in to the thick of it. I quit that in March, and funny thing, God romped on the gas pedal shortly after.

Here is just a super brief fly-over summary as to what’s gone down the last 6 months, why the blog went silent the last two, and where I am sitting now… with mixed feelings.

What Went Down In February 2013! – [Update]

Now that March is over halfway through with itself, I thought it would be a nice touch to give a February update. Being in ministry, and raising support too, I often have people who wish to keep tabs on what I’m up to. I call these my Mission Partners.

February Update 2013 C3 Conference
A little on the happenings of February!

However, March simply hit with a full force blitz and we have barely had time to reflect or hardly even realize the months changed! In fact, I’m writing this while on the road… But that’s for next month’s update. So, on with the February recap…

What Went Down In January 2013! – [Update]

Here we are a week into February already! 2013 is nearly over! …Ok, that was an exaggeration, but still, didn’t January just start last week?

RileyAdamVoth Update January ministry leadership church work life

Being in ministry, I have people who like to know what I’m up to, and my future goals, especially those who financially and prayerfully help support the work I do. *That’s understandable!* So I want to be sure to provide an update of the work that went down in January, and maybe a bit of what’s coming up in February. Plus, it’s just always good to reflect, isn’t it!?

My Goals For 2013! Let The Year Begin! – [Update]

riley adam voth goals 2013 year plans

No kinda-sorta about it, I’m pretty excited for this coming year. I was going to write about the importance of setting goals, but really, who doesn’t know that already? I may still do that next week in some fashion, but for now I just thought I’d model it myself. Ya know, lay out some of my plans and goals for this year.

Besides it being good for myself to do this, I also justify this by calling it an update for any interested Missions Partners. Ok, I’ve also added some seriously valuable thinking at the end that I promise to be worth a quick read. It’s not all about me. So here we go…

The Majesty’s Men

TMM Logo and Category Icons image - Streams of content categorized by our roles as men.

I serve as the Director and Editor-In-Chief of The Majesty’s Men, a multi-faceted ministry and brand I founded in 2013 focused on facilitating friendship and mentoring between Christian. TMM is made up of an online community and blog, a network of exemplary men and their sites, a brand and shop, resources, and, most importantly, a growing network of localized face-to-face communities.

I build the site, manage our accounts and volunteers, lead the editing, and lead in strategy and marketing for TMM. It has been a wonderful and super challenging learning experience over the years and I have many more plans for the future!

The best way to get to know TMM is to hop over to the site and check it out.

Let me know if you have any questions about it! I’d be glad to chat.

I write and work in other locations around the internet. You can catch all my other articles on my Published Elsewhere page, but for my other sites and properties I run, you can just hit these images below to hop over to them in a new window:
