Site Changes and Construction

Major Site Updates Coming

Site Construction Change and Design

After my last post, it should probably be clear why the downtime (and decrease in traffic) on the blog has hit this month. However, I wanted to make it known that I’m being quite productive in this time and making some much needed updates and major overhauls to the site. New paint job, yes, but a new engine too! I’m moving from Blogger to WordPress self-hosted!

So, while I may still do a few posts in the next few weeks, it’ll likely be pretty quiet around here… if you could hear the construction noises though, it wouldn’t be! It’s going to be a great update that is going to provide so much flexibility and freedom for content I plan to create, and things I plan to do, in 2013 and beyond.

Thank you for all who have been praying for, encouraging, and supporting my wife and I in the last few weeks. I am so thankful to know so many people that really care – even when it’s hard and it hurts. Hmmm, seems appropriate… being thankful… Happy Thanksgiving!

A Few Sad Reasons For The Flatlined Blog, Serious Request For Support, & Hard Leadership Lessons – [Update]

I love writing. It’s almost like I have to do it. So understand the seriousness of when I say that though I typically am compelled to do it, for the last two weeks it’s been better, or at the very least easier, for me to not. It’s just been rough…

flatlined blog

Since blogging is neither my main income, nor main priority, I just had to deal with a few other things in life, full on. Plus, I don’t believe in being inauthentic and just posting random or scripted stuff. I’ve needed to deal with a few things. So today I just wanted to go ahead and break the silence and explain the reason(s) for a flatlined blog the last few weeks (and ask for help).

The Last Couple Weeks:

Before I begin with the hard stuff, let me say “it’s not all been bad.” My life is good, I am blessed, and there are more problems in this world than what I have been dealing with. Yet, pain is pain, hurt is hurt, sin is sin, and things just have to be dealt with. So I’m simply just explaining why my blog flatlined for two weeks, what I’ve learned, and how I can use some prayer and support…

The Majesty’s Men

TMM Logo and Category Icons image - Streams of content categorized by our roles as men.

I serve as the Director and Editor-In-Chief of The Majesty’s Men, a multi-faceted ministry and brand I founded in 2013 focused on facilitating friendship and mentoring between Christian. TMM is made up of an online community and blog, a network of exemplary men and their sites, a brand and shop, resources, and, most importantly, a growing network of localized face-to-face communities.

I build the site, manage our accounts and volunteers, lead the editing, and lead in strategy and marketing for TMM. It has been a wonderful and super challenging learning experience over the years and I have many more plans for the future!

The best way to get to know TMM is to hop over to the site and check it out.

Let me know if you have any questions about it! I’d be glad to chat.

I write and work in other locations around the internet. You can catch all my other articles on my Published Elsewhere page, but for my other sites and properties I run, you can just hit these images below to hop over to them in a new window:
