PLEASE NOTE: This is an old post. I wrote this many years ago as a young(er) and dumb(er) me. While it may still hold value, and could be worth the read (I mean, I wasn’t that dumb), I would suggest you not judge the content or quality of the rest of the site on this post. Come now, you weren’t the best ever when you were younger were ya? Cut a guy some slack.

So I haven’t put this blog to use in a while. I originally had to create the blog for a class. I’ve now deleted my old posts and I’m gonna begin using this for what I originally intended. It’s time.
To begin this… I’m writing about Easter… on this beautiful Easter eve. :)
It’s April. It’s been warming up, slowly, and I’ve been getting motorcycle fever. Oh, so bad. Ha, I’ve been looonging for those two wheels to be moving. So after a beautiful “Good Friday” evening with a track meet, winning my event with a personal best time too (accredited only to taking my pride out of the situation and just meeting God out there… oh wow.. can’t explain except, :) ,with that.) I wake up and track down a charger.
The day is cloudy and grey and all day smells of moisture. Warmish, but fighting that spring chill. I hook up that charger finally and go about my business for the afternoon. I open the doors to my apartment, make some spaghetti for myself and go about reading some stuff on the internet, writings by my friends, blogs, history stuff, stuff about Easter, and some scripture to top it all off. Boy do I cherish free Saturdays.
Then, as evening approaches my mind is back on my motorcycle. I go outside, the charger light is green, and I hold my breath as I push that starter button. It cranks, it cranks, …it purrs… oooooh man… I lack the skill of punctuation and use of words to describe my happiness. I’m pretty sure I jumped a little and pumped my arms a little though.
It’s at this very moment that the text from two hours (*years later she became my wife) away about rain seems to deliver the rain along with it, aaaand it just starts sprinkling down. Ha, of course. However, it’s getting dark, and I wanna ride. I’ve driven in evening showers like this sooo I know, this could actually just mean even fresh-er air. HaHa. I’m doing it.
