Over the last few years, I’ve had increasingly more opportunities to speak, teach, preach and give seminars.
I love doing it!
I have spoken to crowds of thousands, to rooms of only a few. I’ve been on stages engaging hundreds of people and cameras to sitting by a fireplace in a cabin in the mountains with a dozen folks sipping something warm! These event venues and audiences range from youth retreats or school baccalaureates, collegiate ministries or every sized church you can think of, and organizational leaders and business owners.
Every size of crowd, type of event, age of audience, and subject matter has a variety of unique challenges but also unique aspects that can be utilized and maximized to increase engagement, memory, and action from the speaking time!
Again, I love the challenge of all of it! There is no even too big or small.
About My Speaking
When I speak, you’ll notice I love leveraging stories, imagery, media and technology to appeal to the senses of the audience in multiple ways.
I tend to pull in examples from my own experiences as well as psychological and sociological research, news, and current trends. I like to appeal both to the emotions and the logic.
If you’re on this page, you likely already know I’m a bit of an edgy looking hippy with a knack for writing, marketing, technology, trends, and style. Hey, I believe everyone should own their strengths and maximize them! But, what you might not know is that I grew up on a farm and ranch my entire life, was a collegiate athlete my entire college career, play musical instruments, have a highly educated theology and worldview, and am always reading, writing, and learning new things.
What does this have to do with my speaking?
I believe in being well rounded and capable of relating to multiple walks of life, lines of thinking, and even spiritual beliefs. By God’s grace, I can come at issues that many can’t from perspectives that most won’t, and I have a variety of experiences to pull from as a millennial, married, successful entrepreneur, former pastor, former collegiate minister and, before those, a former conman hookup-artist.
I strongly believe in examples, analogies, stories, and illustrations. And, I believe in being as open, authentic, and transparent as is fitting for the audience. I believe this is what people connect to and benefit from most of all!
I always want to work closely with you to accomplish your goals, and I believe in being very practical, even when being inspirational and motivational, so that the audience can take action right away!
If your event is “religious”, it is usually possible for me to bring along a highly skilled worship leader for music if that’s helpful. Trust me, I go quality only with this!
If you’re event is not “religious” (say it’s on blogging, leadership, marketing, social media, or it is a school function), I’m happy to oblige with more general terms of “hope”, “purpose”, “setting an example”, “upright living”, or “morals” and talk about “living a life that matters” and “caring about others”.
These are all authentic and crucial aspects to my worldview, and I have no problem talking about them genuinely.

A Few Example Talks
Here are a few examples of talks I might give. You’ll notice many of these are “faith based” simply because that has been the majority of my speaking engagements.
I enjoy pulling from my experiences as well as research in psychology, sociology, and current news and trends.
I always love the opportunity for combining or modifying something for your group and would love to work with you if you have something specific in mind!
Why The World, Your Career, Your Loved Ones, and Most Of All Your Self Needs You To Blog
A look into the many benefits of blogging as told by someone who owns and operates multiple websites and blogs. I can explain through personal experience, facts, and stories the multiple ways this will affect your career and your personal development, and benefits countless other people in the process!
Marketing and Branding Yourself In a World Of A Million Messages A Minute
I can gear this for personal branding or organizational branding and discuss everything from current cultural norms to super practical how-tos. Depending on the setting, I can discuss and even teach best practices and current technologies. I can show how to automate your online life to maximize your productivity. I discuss the importance of knowing your audience very, very well, the importance of good design and cultural awareness, how to be continually learning, and why this all matters!
Anxiety and A Broom
This talk can be geared for a “faith based” message or a more educational or business-minded audience. I speak about realizing and accepting the inability to control all aspects of life (whether it be starting a business, a church, a romantic relationships, or whatever it is! I help the audience understand what anxiety really is – an idea of a future reality that doesn’t exist – and how to recognize when this happens. I address the benefits and downsides of passivity in life’s problems, pains, promises, and pleasures.
Social Media, Online Life, and Faith – Which Affects Which?
A favorite talk of mine, this can be geared for leaders of ministries or organizations or students of all ages. This is a topic that affects most of us these days. I address the prevailing selfishness of social media and the search for gratification. I speak on taking control of your online and social life (rather than being controlled by it) and how to use the amazing tools at our disposal to make the most of (or create) amazing opportunities and build relationships!
Relationships In A Virtual Reality World – Is This Cheating?
Can it be bad that we have the ability to stalk people online? Is it really all bad? Why or why not? As a millennial myself, I discuss the pros and cons of growing up in an increasingly “all access” society to the now present day ability to be super intimate through technology. Depending on the audience, I can angle this towards teenagers and virtual relationship dangers and benefits or towards leaders or older adults and understanding the mindset and new reality that is “online life”.
From ‘Least Likely To Marry’ Hookup-Artist To Suddenly Married Young Twenty-Something. Why?
A talk about the dating and hookup culture from my personal experience of creating the culture and hating relationships, to becoming a young married man, broken by God and learning to love. This is my deeply personal story of how my mind was changed on the outlook of marriage as compared to the thrills and spills of the fast paced hookup life.
I Didn’t Marry For Love Or Happiness, And We’re Happy About That
A talk on the brevity of romance and marriage, and the longevity of commitment and holiness. I parallel who Jesus is to us and what this means for us as humans, married or not. I talk about the pivotal proverb, “Whoever finds a good wife finds favor with the Lord” and how this sealed the deal for me. I talk about the importance of a like-minded spouse, dealing with fights and lessons from a few years of marriage.
Dating, Romance, Love, Sex, Hookups, and The Bible – Does Any Of It Go Together?
A deeply personal yet theological look at the societal norms of young adulthood vs what God has to say about love and sexuality. I can address topics from dating to pornography and gear it more for men, women, or a mixed crowd. Having lived on all sides of these topics, I can address them in an understanding and personal way and drive home what it is that is truly the most satisfying, joy giving and lasting pleasure that we seek.
Again, this is only a sample of a few favorites. I’ve given many, many talks and sermons on many, many other subjects!
A Few Testimonials
“I am excited to see what God is doing in the life of Riley Adam Voth. Riley has a grasp on the Word of God that can only come from years of commitment to reading and understanding the Bible. He relates to the congregation on a personal level and communicates in a clear and concise manner. God has great things in store for this young servant of the Lord.”
– Keith Bryant – Executive Pastor of Multisite, CrossPoint Church; former Director of Missions, Central Baptist Association
“I have had the privilege of knowing Riley for more than thirteen years. Riley is a young man who is clearly under the grip of God’s grace. He faithfully teaches the deep truths of the Scriptures. He is energetic, and has a God-given gift to capture young people’s attention when it comes to communicating biblical truth. Riley is not only a faithful teacher of the Word, but he cares about people, and intentionally engages others in one-on-one conversation, helping them to apply the truths of his teaching on a personal level. You will be blessed by Riley’s ministry!”
– Trevor Bulls – Pastor of First Baptist Church Boise City; former Youth and Family pastor of FBC Guymon
Examples and Excerpts
Here are a few quick takes from talks. (More examples will be coming soon as I round up a few…)
This isn’t a guarantee on either of our parts, but simply a way to begin the discussion. If we decide it won’t be the best of fits for either of us, then no hard feelings. Right? Right. Okay, let’s begin:
