So hoping that you saw my last post about fortune cookies (haha), let’s talk “redeeming power” real quick, shall we?
You know you even get excited to open your fortune cookie – even though you don’t believe in em! You do huh!? We are fascinated with possibilities and new beginnings aren’t we? We like stories and movies with them, new material goods, business start-ups, new relationships, births, kittens, puppies, and on and on. We just don’t always believe these things, this newness of life, can happen for us, do we?
News is though, that whatever might have been happened or not happened in this last year, I promise you that it’s not beyond God’s great and powerful ways to use it for people’s good and his glory! It’s been a fact we’ve focused on many times this last year. I bet you’ve had your share as well.
I believer it’s no coincidence that we celebrate new beginnings right after we’re supposed to celebrate the birth of Jesus. He is the only one who makes all things new! The giver of new beginnings! (Rev 21:5; 2 Cor 5:17) He can take anything, and just like a wave over a scar in the sand, he can wash it away and make you as new!
Surrender it all, and let’s move forward. Together. …with Jesus!
Praying that you and yours had a wonderful Christmas and have a blessed and HAPPY NEW YEAR!
