I ran across this info-graphic (view the full post to see it) the other day and I just felt compelled to save it and share it. It addresses something I’ve been thinking and reading a lot about lately – addiction to social media.
I addressed this as I was noticing it last year after a 7 month absence from Facebook (A Facebook Observation). So I think the saddest part of this is not that people are obsessed with posting about themselves, because I realize most have very little else to talk about (yes it’s still slightly troubling), but more so I think it’s sad that we are prone to compare to others and judge our life’s value off of whether or not we think someone else’s is “better.”
I plan on posting more about this in the future since I’ve been reading about this obsession with ourselves and our social media and how it actually can become a true addiction. For now though, I’d love to know what you think on this.
What’s the most troubling thought here to you?
